Out with the old and in with the new. Jan; 1st is a calendar milestone, so when we've had a crap year, bad habits, busy, which inevitably it becomes! We need a reason to take a breath and start afresh. I don't make resolutions as such lose weight etc; as I have come to realise this is a long term goal.... My R; is not letting the past influence me as much. I guess NYR ‘s are conditioning ! Out with the old and in with the new. I totally agree, we only really have the present. We can learn from the past (inductive logic) - what happened in the past is likely to happen again. The sun came up yesterday morning, it will probably come up this morning. I burnt my hand when I put it on a hot plate, that will probably happen again if the hot plate is switched on. Inductive logic can be helpful or a hindrance in regards to generalization. When we start to think all men or all women, for example, are a certain way, well that's simply not true! I also agree new years resolutions do not work unless we consciously work through the patterns that maintain the behaviours (the thoughts, attached emotions and energetically). But we can only do that in the present... it is all about now! The past is a story in our mind (and an interpretation of past events), the future has not been actualized yet. Our power to create and act in the world is definitely now... right now!!!
